The Smart Multi-Protocol Radio Relay System enables radios of different brands and protocols to communicate on the same network. The system provides two-way communication between analog, DMR, APCO P25 and NXDN networks. It converts the received audio to the frequency, band and protocol of the other network and retransmits it. Band and channel conversion between VHF and UHF allows existing radios to remain in use without replacement. The system can be deployed as a backpack, vehicle-mounted or fixed unit and operates independently of a central site. The communication conversion architecture is protected by patent no.
