Plan-S Satellite and Space Technologies Inc. was established in 2021 as Türkiye's largest privately held enterprise operating in the field of space technologies, through a partnership between Kontrolmatik Technology and INFINIA Engineering. In line with the "New Space" concept that began developing in the 2000s, Plan-S offers IoT, Earth Observation, and Space Services as a solution through its entirely self-designed and manufactured satellites operating in Near Earth Orbit. In addition to IoT and Earth Observation services, Plan-S, with its expertise and vertical structure, provides products and services that meet the diverse needs of changing segments in the space sector.

In the short time since its establishment, Plan-S has managed to become a significant New Space player not only in Türkiye but also in the global market. Designing, manufacturing, and qualifying its first satellite in just eight months, Plan-S increased the number of active satellites in orbit to five within two years. Plan-S now operates Connecta T1.1 (launched May 25, 2022), Connecta T1.2 (launched January 3, 2023), Connecta T2.1 (launched April 15, 2023), and finally, the "Twin Satellites" Connecta T3.1 and Connecta T3.2 (launched November 11, 2023), all designed and manufactured domestically and equipped with IoT communication payloads. In addition to these test and technology demonstration and development satellites, Plan-S aims to launch IoT Communication Satellites called “Connecta IoT Network” by 2024 and create a fleet of 17 satellites by early 2025. Furthermore, it is planned to launch more than 200 satellites into orbit by 2030, operating in the fields of IoT and Earth Observation.
